African Services’ food pantry serves over 5,000 individuals and families each year who are in need of supplemental nutrition. The pantry has served over 100,000 healthy meals since 2012.
Pantry Hours & Offerings
The food pantry at African Services is open from Mondays to Thursdays, operating between 10 AM and 4 PM. Individuals can visit during these hours to receive assistance with their nutritional needs. The pantry provides a one-week supply of non-perishable food items to each household. During the summer months, the agency also offers organic fruits and vegetables.
Eligibility
To access the food pantry, all first-time visitors must have a referral from a social services agency, community center, or church. This requirement ensures that the available resources are directed to those in genuine need.
