ASC Covid-19 Update: Harlem Offices Temporarily Closed

African Services Committee's offices in Harlem are closed March 23 until March 27 because a member of ASC staff tested positive for Covid-19. ASC staff will be working remotely during this time. Click here for more information and resources. For real-time New York City COVID-19 updates in English, text COVID to 692-692 or COVIDESP 692-692 for updates in Spanish and follow CDC guidelines at cdc.gov/coronavirus.

African Services' food pantry serves over 6,500 individuals and families each year in need of supplemental nutrition. In addition to supplemental nutrition, pantry staff and volunteers lead weekly nutrition and cooking classes to assist clients in making the right nutrition choices for themselves and their families.

Each household receives a one-week supply of non-perishable food items. We also provide organic fruits and vegetables in the summer months through a partnership with the Central Harlem Community Supported Agriculture Program.

Hours: Walk-in service, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. All first-time visitors must have a referral from a social services agency, community center or church.
